Las nuevas películas de Francis Ford Coppola, David Cronenberg, Miguel Gomes, Jia Zhang-ke, Paolo Sorrentino y Yórgos Lánthimos, entre otras, competirán por la Palma de Oro. Tampoco habrá participación española en Un certain regard.
El Festival de Cine de Cannes ha revelado esta mañana el programa oficial de su 77ª edición en una rueda de prensa celebrada en en el teatro UGC Normandie de París y conducida por el director del festival Thierry Frémaux y la presidenta Iris Knobloch.
Como ya se había anunciado y habíamos anticipado en Cine y Tele, fuera de competición se presentarán The Second Act, de Quentin Dupieux, que será la película inaugural del 14 de mayo, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (15 de mayo), de George Miller, y el western de Kevin Costner, Horizon, An American Saga (19 de mayo). La directora de Barbie, Greta Gerwig, presidirá el jurado de la Sección Oficial.
